Household Budget Survey (HBS)

Household Budget Survey

The Household Budget Survey (HBS) is a socioeconomic survey of households, the purpose of which is to collect information on household expenditures and income over a given period of time. Currently, fieldwork for the HBS lasts for one calendar year, during which information is collected in all of Chile’s regional capitals and their main conurbations. INE conducts the HBS every five years.

On 10 November 2023, the statistical tables were updated with the new varaibles from IX HBS.
