The gender statistics on this site draw attention to the gaps, barriers, and inequities between men and women in society. Inequalities arise in economics, culture, and society. They include such concepts as gender identity, work, financial barriers, time use, participation in political decisions, and decision-making about one's own body. This information seeks to contribute to the creation of public policies and to society in general.
The main results concerning the inequalities in the amount of time that men and women spend in paid and unpaid work and in personal activities are made available to the public through the National Time-Use Survey and its documentation.
In addition, methodological documents contribute to the incorporation of the gender perspective in statistical production, analyses, infographics, and the gender atlas, all of which delve into gender issues and their geographical distribution through the data and indicators published on this site.
