The most notable increases were in the divisions of housing and basic services and food and non-alcoholic beverages, and the most notable decrease was in the division of insurance and financial activities.
In July 2025, the monthly variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 0.9%, the cumulative variation in the year to date was 2.8%, and the twelve-month variation was 4.3%.
Twelve of the thirteen divisions of the CPI basket had positive influences on the monthly variation of the index and one division had a negative influence.
Among the divisions with increases in their prices, the most notable were housing and basic services (1.5%), which had an impact of 0.275 percentage points (pp), and food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.9%), which had an impact of 0.192 pp.
The remaining divisions with positive influence on the variation of the CPI had a combined impact of 0.419 pp. The only division with monthly decreases in prices was insurance and financial services (-0.5%), which had an impact of -0.005 pp.
