In the same period, the number of births decreased 0.7%.
In November 2025, the number of Civil Union Agreements (CUAs) stood at 1,673, a year-on-year increase of 14.9%, according to the Vital Statistics Bulletin, which is published by the National Statistics Institute (INE).
The majority of CUAs (89.5%) were between couples of different sex, while 4.3% of CUAs were between men and 6.2% were between women.
Vital statistics of the period show that there were 6,313 marriages in Chile, an increase of 1.1% compared to November 2024.
Deaths
In November 2025, there were 10,050 deaths, of which 5,200 were of males (51.7%) and 4,850 were of females (48.3%). The total number of deaths in the period increased 2.9% year on year.
The majority of deaths were of people aged 60 and over, particularly in the bracket 80 to 99 years, which accounted for 43.3% of total deaths, or 4,350 deaths. The number of deaths of children under one year stood at 72, which was 0.7% of the total.
Births
There were 11,613 births (50.7% males and 49.3% females) in November 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%.
According to the mother’s age, the greatest proportion of births were in the bracket 30 to 34 years (29.2% of total births, or 3,393 live births). Following was the bracket 25 to 29 years (25.9% of total births, or 3,007 live births).
