The most notable increases were in the divisions of transport and education, while the most notable decrease was in the division of miscellaneous goods and services.
In March 2026, the monthly variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 1.0%, the year-to-date variation was 1.4%, and the twelve-month variation was 2.8%.
Ten of the thirteen divisions of the CPI basket had positive impacts on the monthly variation of the index and three divisions had negative impacts.
Among the divisions with monthly price increases, the most notable were transport (2.6%), which had an impact of 0.320 percentage points (pp), and education (5.5%), which had an impact of 0.240 pp.
The remaining divisions with positive influence on the variation of the CPI had a combined impact of 0.429 pp.
Among the divisions with monthly decreases in prices, the most notable was miscellaneous goods and services (-0.5%), which had an impact of -0.020 pp.
