To date, more than 4 million homes have been visited and contacted throughout the country. In about 6% of homes, people have not been able to do the face-to-face interview or have chosen not to do it. These homes, together with those located in the new territories to be covered as of this week, will continue to be visited until June to enumerate their habitual residents. For the online census, 671,583 invitation letters have been delivered, a number that will increase over the course of the census. The letters have been delivered in all regions, as follows:

“We are calling on you to respond to the online census if you have received the invitation letter. All habitual residents of the country have the important duty to respond to the census, and we must fulfill it”, said the national director of INE, Ricardo Vicuña. To access the online census, go to the page censo2024.cl and select online census (Censo en Línea), where you must enter the code that appears on the invitation letter delivered to your home. As in the face-to-face interview, you must register all the habitual residents of your home, including everyone from newborns to the elderly. If the code is not yet activated when you enter it, enter it again after forty-eight hours, when the time that may be needed for the code to become activated will have passed.
To stay informed, we remind you to use our official channels: censo2024.cl and @censo2024 on social networks and the Fono Censo (census phone) at 1525.
We will continue moving forward so that everyone opens the door to the 2024 Census.
1 Territory is defined as blocks in urban zones and as enumeration areas in rural zones.
